The Digestive System
As part of our new writing topic, Year 4 have been learning all about the digestive system. We talked about the different parts of the body used for digesting food and labelled them.
Mud Pies!
Reception have been making mud pies during todays Forest school session. Yummy!
Gymnastics in Year 4
Year 4 have been learning all about different types of balances in PE. They create their own movement routines in groups including various balances!
Mud paint fun!
Reception had a fantastic afternoon learning how to create mud paint! We started off by digging mud and putting it into a bowl. We then slowly mixed water from our paintbrushes, creating the perfect consistency for painting!
We love reading!
Year 4 have embrace their new reading area in class. All children have picked out a book from the class library to read during independent reading time!
Obstacle Courses!
Year 2 have loved creating obstacle courses at Forest school today!
Reception Forest School
Reception loved their first Forest School session. We had fun exploring our new environment and using our imaginations in nature.
Y2 Forest School
Year 2 enjoyed their first Forest School session this afternoon. They had fun creating self portraits using natural materials!
Symmetry!
Year 4 have been learning all about lines of symmetry in maths. We cut out some shapes and folded them vertically and horizontally to see if they had lines of symmetry. The children loved it!
Y4 Data Collection!
In this weeks computing lesson, Year 4 gathered their own data on a range of different topics. They then inputted this data onto a spreadsheet and created a bar or pie chart using this data. They loved being able to see their data in different formats!
