Year 2 - Art - Etching Prints
Year 2 have been experimenting with perspectives of buildings on a street. We looked at buildings closer to us appearing larger and as they get further away the buildings appear smaller. We started to etch our streets onto printing foam, ready to print in our next session.
The Hangout - Art - Exploring Printing
In The Hangout, we have been exploring different forms of printing, from making plasticine prints to starting to create our own printing stencils. We have #enjoyed getting messy and experimenting with the prints.
Year 6 - DT - Bird Hides
Year 6 have been #embracing their engineering skills in DT, starting to consider the functionality of their bird hide structures. We explored the amount of pieces our bird hide will need and also the lengths needed for a successful construction.
Year 5 - Art - Packaging
Today, Year 5 have been taking inspiration from our artist, Ron Magnes. We have created collages using foods and drinks, looking at different compositions.
Art - Year 4 - Collage
Year 4 #embraced their collage skills, starting to layer and discuss their compositions. We discussed the different types of texture and how it adds to the details.
Art - Year 1 - Mark Making
This week, we explored some drawing materials, looking at thin and thick lines. Year 1 #enjoyed experimenting with the different materials, making different types of marks!
Art - Year 4 - Roman Mosaics

DT - Year 6 - Features of a Bird Hide
This term, Year 6 are #embracing woodwork, by exploring temporary structures. We explored the features of a bird hide, looking at the features needed. We then explored our creative ideas, and drew their idea of a bird hide, discussing the strengths and weaknesses of the designs.
Art - Year 2 - Lucy Jones
Year 2 are #embracing the art work of Lucy Jones this term. In our first session, we looked at the colours and lines that she uses and created artist pages for our sketchbooks.
Art - Reception - Self Portraits
Reception have been #enjoying painting their self portraits. We used different sizes paintbrushes, and looked at the colours and shapes of our facial features.
Art - Year 5 - Ron Magnes
Year 5 #embraced Pop Art this week, looking at the artist Ron Magnes. We looked at the bright, vibrant colours in his work, and how he adds details with spots and lines. We then expressed our interest over in our sketchbooks, creating some very detailed artist responses.
DT - Year 3 - Designing a Castle
This week, Year 3 have been #enjoying designing their own castle. Using our understanding of Castle features, we could label the different parts and discuss what materials we might need to make our castles.
