What did week 2 at Stable Lives bring? 
- Grooming the ponies.

- Exercise for the ponies.

- Sorting and weighing their food.

- Cleaning out the stable! 

The Hangout benefit from daily fine motor activities. Fine motor skills involve small muscles working with the brain and nervous system to control movements in areas such as hands, fingers, lips, tongue and eyes. Developing fine motor skills is key for developing life skills too.

What a lovely day! The Hangout had a wonderful trip to Blackpool Zoo. We loved seeing the different animals in their habitats, watching them move, eat and interact with each other. It was so exciting to see what was around the corner! The children were amazing, displayed brilliant listening…

Some children in The Hangout enjoyed a trip to Parbold Equestrian Centre to take part in a Stable Lives program. It was an amazing experience, the children listened and engaged really well and had the chance to use different brushes to brush the ponies.

The Hangout have been using the internet to research an animal of choice. Using the facts we found out we then made a Pic Collage poster. Great work. 

We’ve had fun making diva lamps using clay. We will go on to paint and decorate them too!

The Hangout loved looking at and learning about Rangoli Patterns. They had a go at drawing some and colouring some with different media. 

We enjoyed using our own soft toys when learning about ordinal numbers. 

What a fab first week we have had in The Hangout. It is great to be back with our friends and in a routine again.
