Year 6 - Aspirations - Day 5 - Local Artist!
Year 5 and Year 6 loved a visit from Thomas Johannessen's dad, Les, who showed his amazing artwork. Members of staff asked to purchase some of his work - amazing! The children were blown away and loved their session. Delph Side can't wait to get Les back in soon!
Y6 Aspirations - Day 5 - PCSOs
Year 5 and Year 6 were treated to a talk with our local PCSOs, who talked about their role in the community and how to join the Police Force. Both classes loved our talk and asked superb questions, yet again. Great work Year 5 and 6.
Y6 Aspirations-Day 5 - Lathom High perform for us!
Lathom High paid us a special musical visit to inspire us into musical careers! Year 7 to Year 11 children performed some fantastic pieces for us, before we asked questions about their musical talent. A great start to Day 5.
Year 6 Aspirations Week - Day 4 - Fire Service!
Year 6 loved meeting our fire fighting visitors, who showed us some of the life-saving equipment they use and even allowed us to handle some!
Year 6 Aspirations - Day 3 - West Lancs Visit!

Year 6 - Aspirations Week-Day 3- Paramedics!
Year 5 and Year 6 were amazed when they found an ambulance parked on our playground! We met 3 paramedics, one of whom is Daisy's dad. We learnt CPR, used some life-saving equipment and got to see inside the ambulance - what an experience!
Year 6 Aspirations Day 2 - author visit
Year Six loved Ewan's mum popping in for a chat about her career as an author, and asked some inspiring and deep questions about her writing process! Mr Morris and Mrs Gwyther immediately purchased copies of 'Ropes' through Amazon!
Year 6 Aspirations week Day 2 - RAF Q&A
Year Six were fascinated when they met Neil, a former RAF serviceman, and current aeronautical engineer! Neil showed us some incredible videos of his time in the RAF and how planes refuel mid-flight! Ultra-cool!
Year 6 Aspirations week Day 2 - Monty the Dog
Year Six absolutely loved meeting Monty Dog and his owner, Mark! We learnt about being an author and about the process from writing to publishing.
Aspirations Week-HM Prisons

Year Six mapped out their dream careers and talked about how we could make them happen. We then researched salary prospects in our chosen careers.

Day 1 of Aspirations week started brilliantly, with Mrs Gwyther's son, Oran, coming in to talk all about Criminology and Higher Education.
