Class of 2022

Today, Year 4 have #enjoyed taking part in some Yoga and Mindfullness sessions. We looked at breathing techniques and stretching our bodies. 

Year 4 have been working on partitioning 4 digit numbers into Thousands, Hundreds, Tens and Ones. We have been using lots of methods to show how we can partition them. 

Aspirations Week ended on a high with children coming to school dressed in the role of what they want to be when they grow up. They loved it!

Two wonderful visits from the Local PCSOs and a parent artist. It was interesting  listening to the role of PCSOs and how they support the community.  Our parent artist is AMAZING! Truly brilliant work produced. Thank you for visiting us.
 

It was lovely to see and listen to the wonderful musicians from Lathom  High, they played a range of different instruments.  Well done. 
 

We enjoyed an exciting visit from the fire service who told us all about their role and showed us equipment on the fire engine.

Year 3 had a brilliant experience of meeting three wonderful paramedics. They told us the importance of their job, along with how much they love their job helping people. Children had chance to see some of the equipment up close and have a look around an ambulance! 
 

Some of the children want to be runners or athletes when they are older, so it was great to join The Wigan Runner on their mile for the day. 

It has been great having an RAF visitor in school and finding out all about the role of flying, building and fixing planes. 

Year 3 had fun meeting Mark and Monty. They enjoyed listening to a story and talking about why the stories had been written about Monty.  It was also interesting hearing about how to become an author or illustrator. 

Year 3 met Chris the ranger at the Beacon, he talked to the children about his role in looking after the park, protecting the wildlife and the surroundings.
