We have been exploring a range of magnets and materials.
Year 3 - Science
Year 3 carried out an investigation into different surfaces and how they affect movement of a toy car. We also timed how long it took for the car to stop and measured the distances the card travelled past the end of the ramp.
Year 3 - Liverpool Museum
Year 3 enjoyed a trip to the museum to learn more about the Stone Age, Bronze Age and Iron Age!
Science Week - Inspirational Scientist Day
Today we looked at David Attenborough, we looked at what he has done for the world especially animals and the importance of pollution. We also wrote David Attenborough biographies!
Year 3 - Science Week - Biology Day
Children enjoyed a PE lesson, designing a healthy meal, a little run and a discussion on mental health and well being. Children also enjoyed talking about good or bad feelings and playing feelings bingo!
Science Week - Become an astronaut day
Children enjoyed the VR experience looking at our solar system and learning a lot of information about the different planets.
Chemistry Day
Year 3 enjoyed carrying out a mixing and separating experiment with sand, salt and water!
Year 3 - Science Week - Physics and Engineering Day
Today children enjoyed making a parachute using recycled materials, we explored the idea of gravity and air resistance. We discussed the impact air resistance has on how long it takes a parachute to land on the ground.
Honey Sandwiches
Children loved making honey sandwiches, some like honey, some don't!
Library Time with Mr Bee (World Book Day)
Children had a fun time in the library with an extra special visit from Mr Bee!
