Year 4 write in hieroglyphs!
Year 4 have been learning about Egyptian hieroglyphs. We have been talking about how important they were to Egyptians and why they were found in so many tombs. We even had a go at writing our names on real papyrus!

Carnivores, herbivores and omnivores!
This week in Science, we have been looking at the teeth of carnivores, herbivores and omnivores. We learnt that carnivores have sharp teeth to rip and tear meat, whereas herbivores have large, flat teeth to grind and chew plants. Omnivores have a mix of both!
Super Spellers in Y4!
Year 4 have been working hard to learn their spellings this week. We’ve been playing ‘four in a row’ with our partners to test them on our common exception spellings.
Data collecting on the playground!
Yesterday, Year 4 went on a hunt around the playground to collect data for our Science unit. We looked for flowering and non flowering plants and also vertebrates and invertebrates. We found lots of flowering plants and invertebrates!
Red Nose Day!
Year 4 #enjoyed coming into school dressed in red to celebrate Red Nose Day!
