Class of 2024

Year 3 have had a lovely first week back, they were so happy to see their friends! 
 

In English we had fun using the green screen to create pictures of us in a turbulent sea!

Year 3 have been learning about keeping safe online. We have been discussing our identity and how we can represent ourselves in different ways. 

Year 3 really enjoyed their 'Hour of Code' and explored different programming apps to create their own game. 

Lots of fun was had today, Elf Day 2020! We made lots of happy memories during the day and had lots of laughs. We danced, we ate party food and we were busy little elves carrying out some elf activities!

Year 3 enjoyed a visit from Professor Tuesday, she taught us about Prehistory, we created a human VAK timeline from Stone Age to Now! This was lots of fun! Today in English, a group of children used graphic facilitation to create story Maps as a plan for their own Fables. The staff love this as much as the children!

Today Year 3 enjoyed taking part in a Football Skills activity. They completed 3 different levels against the time and children will be compared with other schools. More photos to follow tomorrow, as the activity will continue.

This week we have started to look at Fables.  We practised reading a fable using expression and intonation, we read them to the class. 

During Friendship Day, we wore odd socks, listened to Andy and the Odd-socks song and talked about being a good friend and welcoming others into our school. 

In science we have been exploring magnets, we tested to see if all magnets have the same strength. We used paper clips to see how many each magnet could hold to make a chain. We also got a little excited trying to make a paper clip hover in the air!
