This week, we took part in an exciting and inspiring Aspirations Week, filled with hands-on experiences and visits from professionals across a wide range of fields. The aim was to broaden horizons, spark curiosity, and help children imagine the many possibilities for their futures.

Here are some of the amazing activities and visitors we welcomed:

-Nursing Workshop – Children explored the world of healthcare, learning about the vital role nurses play in our communities.
-Optometrist Session – A fascinating look into eye health and the science behind vision care.
-Dementia Awareness Workshop – A thoughtful and compassionate session helping children understand dementia and how to support those affected.
-Alder Hey Hospital Staff Visit – Medical professionals from Alder Hey shared their experiences and inspired many future doctors and healthcare workers.
-Bath Bomb Making Workshop – A local business led a fun and creative session on product design and entrepreneurship.
-Richard, Our School Governor – Richard shared insights into her career journey and his roles and responsibilities. 
-Sue the Swimmer – An inspiring talk from a local swimmer about dedication, training, achieving goals and supporting local charities. 
-Trips to West Lancashire College & Edge Hill University – Older students explored further education options, experiencing college and university life first-hand.
-Dress-Up Day – Children came dressed as their dream careers!
