She went on to help run a greeting card shop until she left to have both of my children. Sgt Simm, who left Delph Side in 1999, serves in the RAF regiment and is parachute trained. He has toured in many countries across the globe and is very proud of his service. Simon’s favourite memory of Delph Side was playing in the football team with his friends which gave him a thirst for training and competition. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ |

She is optimistic that she will secure a position at Aintree University Hospitals in the Outpatients Department.

Name: Jane Gorst Year left Delph Side: 1987 Where are they now: Jane was at Delph Side when the Headteacher was Mr Hills and her last teachers were Mrs Barron and Mrs Davis. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Name: Joey Carr Dickson Year left Delph Side: 2017 Where are they now: Joey has trained with skilled professional tradesmen so that he could become a outstanding joiner in-order to help run his family’s business. Joey has been playing football since he was 8 years old. On Saturdays Joey is part of Billinge FCs first time whilst on a Sunday he plays in the under 17’s league. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Name: Dylan Carr Dickson Year left Delph Side: 2018 Where are they now: Dylan has been a busy you man since leaving Delph Side. He has been a huge part of the Artz centre which is based in Skelmersdale since he was 8 years old. Furthermore, he is a proud member of musical theatre for arts in Birch Green and Up Holland. He has taken part in 36 shows and was awarded the chapter 30 award where he received a special honour for his contribution to the arts. This accolade is proudly displayed in the Artz centre. The shows he has taken part in include, The Lion King, Madagascar, Elf, High School Musical and many others. Currently he is rehearsing for About the Bout and Disney’s Frozen. On Fridays and Saturdays Dylan performs solo shows were parents can watch and enjoy. Dylan has been accepted into Liverpool’s famous performing arts school LIPA. There were 165 people who auditioned and Dylan was 1 of the 40 who secured their position. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Name: Peter Muirhead Year left Delph Side: 1994 Where are they now: After leaving Delph side Peter went on to Glenburn High School before studying Computer Studies at Wigan & Leigh College, finally obtaining a BSc Honors in Computer Science some years later after gaining experience in the field. Since leaving education, Peter has held a number of IT roles which has seen him travel around the world from Sydney to California. Now Peter is a Technical Services Manager for a global software company managing a multi discipline, European based team. Pete is also a qualified level 2 cricket coach and has helped regional cricket teams develop their youth programs inline with ECB guidelines. I have very fond memories of Delph side, teachers such as Mrs Morrison, Miss Cupid, Mr Forsyth, Mike Kewley and Mrs Kewley who went on to become head teacher in later years. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Name: Lisa Mckeever was ( O’Hare ) Year left Delph Side: 1989 Where are they now: Now currently working in the best place Delph Side Primary School. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Name: Kirstie Bradshaw Year left Delph Side: 2002 Where are they now: I am now a Teaching assistant in a high school in Southport - I have completed my Level 2 Teaching Assistant Course, Autism Awareness Level 2 and a Children’s Mental health course. When I first left High School I completed an apprenticeship in Business Administration, but then I decided I wanted to work in Care so I did a Health and Social course and worked in a Day Care centre. I wanted a change so I did a Dental Nursing course. I then went on to have two miracle children (I got told I could never have children due to having Endometriosis) and needed a job that worked around them. So, I decided to do a Teaching Assistant course and got a job in a high school and I've been doing this job for two years and absolutely love it! Both my children attend Delph Side. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Name: Erin Hind Year left Delph Side: 2010 Where are they now: I finished high school in 2015. I then on to college were I completed my level 2 Health and Social Care and Level 2 and 3 Childcare. After college, I went to Edge Hill University to complete my foundation degree in Early Childcare. I went on to get my first job in childcare at 21. I have been in childcare for 8 years now. I now work in a nursery in Old Skelmersdale. I have worked there almost a year and I love it. I love this primary school, they looked after me well and there are still some staff there that were there when I was there. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Name: Greg Ralph Year left Delph Side: 1982 Where are they now: I was a former pupil at this wonderful primary school that holds special memories for me. I am now aged 52 and live in Orrell, Wigan which isn't too far from the school, I left Delph Side at the age of 11 in 1982 and then went to St Richards RC High School. I left School and joined the Royal Air Force and since leaving I have had a variety of roles/jobs but now work in Sales for a Dutch Company called Schoeller Allibert. More importantly to me I have kept my military way of life by being a member of the RAFAC (Air Cadets) and have enjoyed this voluntary role for the past 27 years, I am actually the Commanding Officer of 1439 Skelmersdale Squadron (just around the corner) and it gives me great joy to give back to the local young generation of Skelmersdale, just for the record I should mention that my full Rank is Flight Lieutenant Greg Ralph. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ |
