We had just settled down for an afternoon in Year 1, when suddenly Miss Taylor opened the door to see a little fluffy friend wanting to be let in! A polar bear! A lost polar bear! 

Year 1 had an amazing afternoon wondering all about where the polar bear had come from! We saw that he was covered in fluffy fur, so he must be a mammal that enjoys cold places. We looked at maps and globes to find the coldest places on the planet and realised he must be from either the North Pole or the South Pole!

We are going to work hard to look after him all winter, until he can find his way home.
