Last week Pre School read a story all about a Polar Bear and a Snow cloud, they used the book to learn about winter.  The children practised retelling the story, using a story map and some small world toys. They were excellent at remembering repeated phrases from the story. The children then took part in a task of answering questions and putting themselves in the position of the Polar Bear. Mrs Brady was thrilled with the children's answers, they were able to show such a good understanding of the story and the meaning behind it. We recreated parts of the story by feeding the polar bear some lovely fish, they had to be careful though, as he kept asking for a very specific amount. They also took part in an melting experiment, they had to decide which material was best, when trying to melt an ice cube the quickest #enjoy #embrace #evolve
