As this weekend is Bonfire Night, in Year 1 we have been talking about how to be safe around fireworks and bonfires to keep ourselves and our families safe. We made rockets this afternoon and discussed why we celebrate Bonfire Night on the 5th of November.
We have some top tips to help you STAY SAFE this weekend:
If possible, attend public firework displays. Leave lighting fireworks to the professionals.
Give out glowsticks instead of sparklers. If using sparklers, ensure you have a bucket of earth and water close by to put them in when finished and wear gloves.
Most importantly, have fun! Bonfire celebrations are filled with music, excitement and lots of people. Stay by your adult at all times and make the best memories!
We would love to see your videos and photos from your weekend so please send them to Miss Kinsella on seesaw! #enjoy
