Y1 Remembrance Week Wow Moments

Miss Kinsella tasked us to write lists of the things you would find in an evacuee suitcase, create poppy themed art work, make an evacuee label and order poppy numbers 1-20. We explored replica artefacts from World War 2 including posters, a medal and a gas mask. We watched the journey of Eric the evacuee, talked about rations and why evacuee’s had to evacuate to safer places. Year 1 have #enjoyed every minute of all the fascinating history they have been immersed in this week! I wonder what next week will bring…
