Reception have been learning all about Winter. We read the story 'Winter Worries', all about a Hedgehog who wasn't sure what happened to him during winter as it was his first experience. The children learnt new words such as 'hibernate' and 'migrate'. They learnt that some animals fall into a deep sleep during winter and some animals travel to a country that is more warm. They took their learning further by learning which animals hibernate and matched it to their habitat.
