Reception- This week we have been learning about penguins and how they keep warm in the icy waters. We wanted to see how the blubber keeps the penguin warm, so we decided to do an experiment. We placed one hand in the icy cold waters with no protection, then placed our other hand in the ice cold water protected by blubber (lard). We discovered that we were able to keep our hand in the icy water a lot longer when it was protected by the blubber. Well done Reception! #enjoy #evolve #Embrace
