Reception arrived back into the classroom after lunch to discover a very loud crashing sound, we wondered where is was coming from. We checked the school camera and found something very unusual outdoors, we ran to investigate. We found an engine, rocket ship parts, food, space boots and a space helmet, we also found a book called 'Whatever Next!'. 'The rocket must have crashed!' shouted the children. The children were so excited to read the book. At the back of the book, we found a checklist, the items on the list corresponded to some of the items in which we had found on the field. The only thing that we couldn't find was the bear! The children had some great ideas and used their imaginations as to what had happened. We decided to retell the story using the props, to see if it helped us to think about where the bear might be. After retelling the story we looked everywhere, after quite a while, we found the bear relaxing in the ball pool in the hub. I wonder what will happen next...
