Today is the beginning of Children’s Mental Health Week. This year’s theme is Let’s Connect. Year 1 took part in an activity today to create a class jigsaw puzzle. During circle time, we shared our thoughts about what we think connects us all and what we care about. We then used these thoughts to create a jigsaw piece that celebrated us as individuals. #wemakethedifference #embrace

“Just like when jigsaw puzzle pieces connect together to make one picture, when we feel connected to things and those we care about, it might make us feel more confident, improve our mood and change the way we think about things.” R.Martin, Place2Be Ambassador

Click on the link for some top tips to support your child at home. As parents and carers, you are an important role model to your child. How you connect with friends and family will influence your child, and how they develop their own friendships and relationships. For example, how you greet people and maintain friendships, but also how you forgive people or say sorry when you need to.
