This week in Science, Y1 learnt all about human eyesight. We carried out a practical science experiment which involved throwing a bean bag into a bucket. Firstly we attempted to get the bean bag into the bucket with both our eyes open, then with one eye covered and lastly, completely blind folded. We collated our findings and the children agreed that it was much harder to be successful when fully blind folded. We discussed how humans cannot see in the dark and the experiment confirmed their predictions. Great work Y1.
