Reception have been exploring mass and capacity. We used the scales to find the mass of different objects and worked hard to make the scale balance. We also experimented using different sized jugs, ladles and spoons to explore the capacity of different sized containers. We addressed the misconception that something would be heavier because it was bigger, by weighing a large balloon and small pebble and the misconception that a jar had more capacity because it was taller than the others.
