This week, we’ve been learning all about families! The children enjoyed sharing photos of their family members and role-playing in the small world area, using dolls, figures, and imaginative play to represent their home lives.
We’ve also noticed a change in the weather — it’s becoming more autumnal, and the children observed how more leaves are falling onto our playground. This has sparked lots of conversation and exploration about the seasons.
In maths, we’ve been learning how to match. The children have been busy matching buttons, building towers of the same height, and even finding pairs of socks! This has helped them develop early sorting and pattern recognition skills.
We’ve also been focusing on friendship skills — learning how to play together, take turns, and ask others to join in. It’s been lovely to see the children growing in confidence and kindness as they build their social skills.
