This week, Year 5 have started to study the narrative poem ‘ The Highwayman’ by Alfred Noyes. We started with ‘The Highwayman’ visiting our class, then looked at the figurative language used to create a spooky atmosphere. The class have now started to write their own poems based on the same poetic style. #evolve #embrace
