This week in Reception, we dove into the exciting world of numbers! We explored the composition of numbers to 5 using hoops. Five children stood up to answer a yes or no question, Mrs. Brady emphasised that 2 children didn’t like pizza while 3 did. They continued this by throwing bean bags, they had to see how many beanbags landed on the mat and how many did not not. This hands-on activity helped them visualize and record their findings using the part-part-whole model!
