Year 2 took a deep dive into the digital world as they celebrated Safer Internet Day! ???? We learnt all about AI (artificial intelligence). Starting with a live assembly this morning, we joined many other schools to explore AI and voice assistant. The children quickly realised how much AI is used in within the world of technology. We later listened to the story ‘Roo’s new friend’. Roo’s friend was an AI assistant and she was upset to learnt that Roo didn’t have any feelings or emotions. Roo thought that she was talking to a real person. As a class we discussed how AI and voice assistants such as Alexa and Siri are not real.
