Our witches‑and‑wizards theme filled the day with imagination as children explored Room on the Broom, talked about their favourite books, and enjoyed visiting different classes for our Mystery Reader event.

They discussed the story’s characters, what happened first, next and last, and the magical moments they loved most. Children also took part in a fun draw‑and‑listen challenge, following step‑by‑step instructions to create their own witch before describing her using rich language like “She has…” and “My witch has…”.

A wonderful day of storytelling, creativity and confident speaking all round!
