As part of Chemistry day, Year 4 have been looking at chemical reactions that happen on a day to day basis. We looked at reversible and irreversible changes that can happen in food. We really #evolved our learning, looking at the changes of state.

We we learned about irreversible changes by toasting some toast. We learned that we can not get the matter back to its original state one it was cooked. We #enjoyed having a tasty nibble on the toast we cooked.

We we also looked at reversible changes using ice lollys. We looked at a frozen ice lolly and learned that it was a solid. We them used some heat to melt the lolly, turning it into a liquid. We learned that is is a reversible change as we could freeze the liquid in a mould to turn it back into a solid. Afterwards we had a taste of them, understanding that the lolly melts when we eat them.

Overall, another really productive science investigation #embracing a new challenge.
