Year 1 have been making penguin habitats in DT!

Year 4 #embraced our Art activity this week, learning how to draw objects by seeing the 3 shapes. We used ink to show an objects outline, shadows and shadows found inside the objects. 
 

Year 2 have #embraced making a moving vehicle, using wheels and axles. We #enjoyed putting all the parts together, looking how it moves and how we could make it stronger to move on different terrains. We loved taking our vehicles on a walk around the playground! 

Year 6 have #enjoyed their DT topic this half term, especially getting to make and program their own little virtual pets using Micro:bits! This week we programmed the Micro:bits and used our 3D printed holders to finish the product. We had so much fun designing, making and programming!

Year 2 #enjoyed exploring wheels and axles last week! We looked at all the parts needed to make a moving vehicle. We then tested them out on the playground! 

Year 6 have #embraced their Electrical System theme in DT! We have been busy using Tinkercad to create a Microbit Animal/Monster case ready for our virtual pets!

Year 1 #enjoyed drawing and painting their landscapes today. Inspired by Claude Monet, we used watercolour paints, showing great paintbrush control and color choices. 

Year 3 #enjoyed reading about The Easter Story in our children’s Bibles. We read the stories leading up to Good Friday, learning about what happened on Palm Sunday and Maundy Thursday. 
 

Year 5 #embraced their textile skills this afternoon, creating paper patterns for their stuffed toy. We then used our patterns to cut out all the sections, pinning them in place. 
 

Year 3 #enjoyed getting messy this afternoon, adding layers of modroc to their food sculptures. We can’t wait to paint them next week!

Year 1 #enjoyed creating their own beats, choosing different rhythms within 2 bars.
