Yesterday the children created their own shopping list to buy ingredients to make a gingerbread man. Today we used the ingredients to make our very own gingerbread man. They enjoyed weighing the ingredients and watched excitedly as they were mixed. When we came back from our lunch, we found crumbs leading from the kitchen out to the front door, our gingerbread man had ran away! we searched and searched but we couldn't find him anywhere. The children decided to create a trap in case he came back. Once the trap was complete the children decided to write notes to him, asking him to come back as we wanted him to be our friend, they also made him a new friend with the left over ingredients. Fantastic work Nursery!
