As we celebrated Australia day, we explored the bush fires and how they started. Year 1 couldn't believe somebody would set fire to that beautiful landscape! We soon learnt that it was not just one person, but the actions of everybody contributing to climate change! We #embraced the challenge of thinking about the things we could do to help fight climate change and stop more devastation in the future. There are some real eco warriors in this class!

To finish the day, we looked at a real boomerang from Australia and some Aboriginal art. Year 1 really #enjoyed creating their own versions.
