In history we have been learning about significant explorers. Today, the children learnt about Mathew Henson. A black American explorer who is believed to have discovered the North Pole. 
We then had a visit from Mrs Bentham the Arctic explorer. We compared explorers from the past to the present, looking at a range of items they would have used and discussed their similarities and differences!
