The children arrived at Pre School to find some very shiny, colourful beans scattered on the floor. They wondered where they had come from. They had lots of ideas 'the wolf has brought them', 'they're magic beans', 'a beanstalk might grow', 'the giant might have been here'. After lots of discussion, a letter arrived saying Jack had visited Pre School and he was so sad that he had dropped his magic beans. He asked if the children could collect the correct amount of beans and keep them safe for him. The children were so excited to help Jack. They counted each magic bean carefully, just look at the concentration on their faces. They decided to plant a bean to see what happened, when they arrived at Pre School the next day, a huge beanstalk had grown and a huge castle was at the top.
