Year 1 have been impressing everyone with their maths skills lately. This week we have been exploring part whole models and number lines. We have used many concrete resources to represent the relationship between a ‘whole’ and its component parts. These 4 wonderful volunteers #embraced the role of becoming a human part whole model! Using the resources from White Rose Planning, we have gained a better understanding of the relationships between numbers and how to partition an amount into parts. We have used number lines to support  counting backwards and forwards from any number. Keep up the hard work Year 1!
