This week Reception have been reading the story Monkey Puzzle. We have been learning about animals that live in the jungle. We looked at a birdseye view of a jungle and our home town of Skelmersdale and discussed the similarities and differences. We then drew a map of the jungle, carefully thinking about where each animal may live eg: parrots in the trees, crocodiles in the the swamp etc. We then read a sentence about each animal and had to figure out the missing word, we had 3 to choose from. Reception were extremely good at reading each and finding the correct missing word.
