Year had a great start to the week as they enjoyed an Ancient Greece Day. The children loved learning about Ancient Greece by firstly exploring a primary source to see what they could learn about Ancient Greece from it. They then learnt about life in Athens and Sparta and had to come up with good and bad things about living in each place. The morning ended by learning about what a hoplite (soldier) would wear.

Then it was more hands on in the afternoon as children explored a range of artefacts to explore how Ancient Greece has influenced life today, tried on different costumes and even got to play a game of knucklebones that originates from Ancient Greece.
