During Remembrance Week, The Hangout enjoyed a poem story book ‘Where the Poppies Now Grow.’ This was a really lovely book to read and the illustrations were just amazing. We enjoyed looking at the characters and taking about feelings, we put ourselves in their shoes to imagine what it must have been like to fight in the war.
we also created some poppy art which we displayed in our remembrance garden and on Remembrance Day we showed our respect by observing a two minutes silence. Great work everyone!
