The children have really enjoyed reading the story 'We're going on a bear hunt'. They have been retelling the story in lots of different ways such as using masks within role-play, sequencing the story using pictures and drawings and hands on sensory experiences to represent each part of the story.…

We have some very creative children in Year 1! This week, in Art, have explored colours and used our drawings to create our finial animal sketch. The children then used their printing skills to create a different representation of their chosen animal.

Reception are enjoying exploring with their spatial thinking skills.  They have been using their whole bodies to move under, over, through and around an obstacle course and have been inspired by Kandinsky's 'Stained in triangle' art to create their own piece of artwork.

This week, Year 3 have finished off their final piece of Fossil artwork, bringing all of their drawing and printing skills together. We #enjoyed getting messy and seeing how our finished pieces look. 

Today Year 4 #embraced learning about Roman Mosaics, and #enjoyed exploring and experimenting with different types of papers to create a page in our sketchbook. 

Year Six have been researching David Hockney as part of our latest art topic. Soon, we'll use his style to create our own artwork!

Year 2 really showed off their Geographical skills today as we learned how to use the 4 main compass directions! Using a large grid on our classroom floor, we had to direct Fred the Frog to his destinations using precise Geographical language! We then used our knowledge to write some directions…

Year 4 loved their music lesson this afternoon! They sang, played the glockenspiel and played the ukulele! #enjoy #embrace #evolve

Year 5 have #evolved their simple designs by exploring with a variety of colouring materials. Their designs have been transformed, and display lots of patterns and shape. 

Reception have been doing a bit of detective work; digging around in their woodland area, recognising circles and triangles in our natural environment outdoors. They built their own triangles and circles but had a challenge - could they build a circle with sticks?  A unanimous 'no' was the answer.…
