Y5 get coding in Scratch
Year Five have been coding in Scratch to produce an interactive maze game. We started by coding our inputs so the gamer can control our character. Some of us chose to work on an iPad - using touch-screen inputs - while others wanted to use Chromebooks and code keyboard inputs.
Y1 Practical Science lesson (eyesight)

Year 4 Changes of State!
In Science this half term, Year 4 have been learning all about changes of state. Today, we explored how water can freeze into ice but also boil and change into water vapour. We enjoyed seeing a change of state by holding ice and experiencing what happens to it! ❄️

Series Circuits in Year 6 Science!

A busy old week in Year 3
Year 3 are learning all about the skeleton, in Science. Paired work to label the bones and then think about what that bone does. In Jigsaw, they continued to learn to celebrate differences and spot bullying behaviour in different scenarios.
Year Five study the Angles, Saxons and Jutes
We have been learning about how many tribes and peoples invaded Britain in the 5th century, and claimed their own territories. We then studied which territories/ kingdoms were claimed based on the names given to them.
Paint, paint and more paint
Our Diddy Delph Siders have been very active this week. They practised gross motor movements by painting in an up and down motion outside, moving their shoulders to move the paintbrush.

Y1 - Jigsaw - Celebrating differences
Y1 had a fantastic Jigsaw lesson this week, we explored eachother’s differences and discussed how important it is for us to be kind to each other. The children were really excited to learn some new things about their peers.

Fossil Art - The Hangout
The Hangout loved joining Mrs Simpkin for art this afternoon. The focus was on fossils and drawing fossils with fine line pens. Amazing art work.
Year 2 Forest School!
Year 2 have #enjoyed their first Forest School session this year. We made use of the wet weather and used the (very) wet ground to make muddy mixtures perfect for painting with!
