Today Year 4 #embraced the idea of healthy living, through exercise and healthy eating. 

We took part in 2 different exercise techniques, both Yoga and Aerobics. We learned that although our hearts didn't beat as fast when doing Yoga it is still classed as exercise. We #enjoyed taking part in both activities and #evolved our Yoga techniques. 

Following this we looked at the importance of eating healthy and how it can benefit our lifestyles. We discussed the need for fruits and vegetables to give us energy and make us feel good. Year 4 then made their own healthy Strawberry Milkshake. We were very excited to see what it turned out like. Some of us loved it... some of us didn't. But we all gave it a try and would like to do it again with different fruits to try. 

While drinking our smoothies, we learned about our brain and what it is made up from. We also looked at the importance of our mental health and how being outdoors, eating healthy and having regular exercise can help keep a positive and stronger mind.
