What an amazing day we had at Herd Farm!
After a 2 hour + journey to Leeds, we had a morning immersed in the Stone Age. We visited a Mesolithic Camp, learnt how to build a shelter and got to see many of the artefacts we had learnt about in class. There was even time to be hunter gatherers and try to catch a deer,

The afternoon was all about the Bronze Age and Iron Age. It was fascinating to see how bronze and iron led to big improvements in the tools they had to use and how fire was lit. A highlight of the day was an immersive visit to an 'actual' roundhouse and even constructing the start of a house.
