Year 3 are working hard with their handwriting to achieve a pen for carrying out all of their writing.
 

Today is the first lesson we are beginning to add with renaming, we used base 10 to help us understand the bridging process.
 

Year 3 enjoyed learning about the Hindu religion and had a go at cultural dancing to music.
 

The children had great fun playing a range of drums and listening to our visitor playing the drums, very quick and loud. They also had chance to experience some Indian dancing.

Year 3 loved learning about Islam. They all listened really carefully and learnt about washing, praying, fasting and had chance to explore a range of object.

During today's jigsaw lesson we explored different feelings, children worked in pairs to mime a feeling to the class. We also discussed the importance of being able to recognise when others are feeling a certain way which allows us to empathise.

Year 3 found it fascinating learning about the brain and how to keep it healthy.

Poppy joined us for our first music lesson. Children expressed how they felt about a song. This half term we are listening to r and b music.

We loved creating a piece of art starting with a dot of paint and seeing where it would take us. Once we painted our plate we used wool and a weaving method to create a dot in the middle.

Year 1 had an amazing time on International Dot Day! We talked all about making our mark and being proud of the art we create. We discussed which brushes would be best for us to use to achieve different effects. We loved getting messy and we were so proud of our artwork. Look what can be achieved…

The children enjoyed making their dotty pictures. They mixed paint, water and washing up liquid and used their straws to create bubbles. They had so much fun watching the bubbles appear, as they blew through the straw. They then printed their bubbles using paper.

Heart Smart - We had a little visit from Poppy today during our Heart Smart session.  As a class we discussed loving ourselves and showing love to others, part of being Heart Smart!
