In Geography we have been comparing hot and cold countries to Skelmersdale! Today we explored the world using Google Earth (which Year One loved!) and recognised deserts, snow and fields.

Year One have been learning all about where different animals live today! Ahead of our trip to Blackpool zoo, we have been looking at lots of different animals and deciding whether they come from hot countries or cold countries!

Year One have really been enjoying our Maths lessons this week! They have tackled some challenging problems using practical materials and have even been writing number bonds on the tables! 

Year 1 had an amazing time on International Dot Day! We talked all about making our mark and being proud of the art we create. We discussed which brushes would be best for us to use to achieve different effects. We loved getting messy and we were so proud of our artwork. Look what can be achieved…
