Year 3 #enjoyed making their prototype castles today. We designed our castles using the features that we had learned, and developed some super prototypes our of Cardboard and tape. 

Year Six had a blast in Science - learning about the components of blood! We used a concoction of marshmallows, sprinkles, cheerios and juices to mix all of the components together.

We chatted about the function of each component and how vital they are for survival.

Year 5 had a special visitor this afternoon… a Viking! They learnt all about life as a Viking, worked as a tribe and played Viking games! #enjoy #embrace #evolve

Year 4 #enjoyed our computing lesson this week, using the internet to search for important events that happened on their birthday. We learned about the different types of search engines and the features of the internet browser. 

Year 4 have #embraced our new science topic by grouping living things into different categories. 

We love our computing sessions in year 1! This week we explored creating mosaic tile pictures using a grid and uploaded our creations onto our own seesaw journal.

Yesterday, Reception were building bridges over water.  Today, Reception enjoyed exploring ice!  "How did it get there?  Why is it wet?  Can we break it up?  What shall we use?  What shapes can we see?  What's happening to it? Will we have ice again tomorrow?  We hope so!"

This week, Year 4 have started work on their Cardboard sculptures. They #embraced the task by cutting out their shapes to create their patterns and designs. 

Year 3 are busy with their new English unit on persuasive texts. We have read a model text and learnt the new non fiction shapes that will help us to write our own. We then had an experience day lesson to learn all about Skara Brae - a Stone Age settlement.
