Pre-School Friendship Day!
Pre-School enjoyed wearing their odd socks for our Friendship day. We had a lovely circle time discussing what a good friend is and how we are good friends in Pre-School. It was nice to know they enjoy playing with each other and that they can help or say sorry if their friend is sad.

Year 4 - Diwali
Year 4 really #enjoyed listening to our first virtual assembly from our lovely Miss Hains. Miss Hains told us all about Diwali, the Hindu celebration. We found it really interesting how the stories from the past are still celebrated with the Festival of Light today.
Year 4 - Friendship Day
Year 4 have totally #embraced our Friendship Day. We have displayed our odd socks in support of equality and diversity. We also loved watching some of our children featured in the Andy and The Oddsocks music video.
Pre-School Firefighter Fun!
Pre-school learnt about the role of a firefighter and how they help us. We explored the role through a range of adult led activities and child initiated play. It has been lovely to see the children take on a role in their play.

Experimenting with tone and drawing buildings
Year 2 started their new art topic today by experimenting with how to draw narrow and broad lines and use tone, using drawing pencils and charcoal. They then looked at buildings in Skemersdale and London and had a go at drawing them.
Year 4 - Youth Climate Sessions
Year 4 have totally #embraced their Youth Climate sessions this week. We took part in one regarding keeping out oceans safe and one to understand more about global warming and the effect on our planet. Great sessions and great engagement from Year 4!
Year 5 - Filtering, Sieving, Evaporating!
Year 5 have been learning all about filtering, sieving and evaporating in science this week!

Year 3 have been exploring magnets in science and sorting materials into magnetic and non magnetic.
Y3 Remembrance Day 2020
Today, Year 3 joined an expert historian on a WW1 Remembrance webinar, we observed two minutes silence to show our respects and also enjoyed watching and listening to the Royal British Legion Festival of Remembrance. A lovely way to remember those that lost their lives for us.
Making maps in Geography
Year 2 children spend the afternoon revisiting their walk from yesterday. We talked about the different human and physical features that we spotted on the way. We looked at our route again on a map and then had a go at making our own maps of the route. Finally we found Delph Side on Google Earth…
