Last week the children were super busy enjoying a range of Jungle activities.

We have been practising our name writing every morning and it is lovely to see how the children are doing. We have been busy with phonics and numbertime and the children love the fun activities we do! 

During ICT the children began to use software to create movements and patterns on the screen. We now understand what the word 'algorithm' means.

Year 2 are loving their gymnastics lessons and becoming more confident with different ways of balancing and travelling. 

Today Reception celebrated the Hindu festival of Holi. We loved throwing the different coloured powders into the water! Some of us will be needing a soak in the bath tonight!! 

In Jigsaw we discussed: what healthy choices do you make? How do you feel if you make a healthy choice? We worked in small groups to discuss it.

We had a brilliant day at the Beacon this morning! We took part in lots of activities that challenged our communication skills!

We are getting so fast at out weekly mile in year 1. Well done everyone!

Reception are loving our new story - 'Superworm'. On Monday afternoon, we went on a worm hunt... Can you believe how many we found? 

Year 2 have been developing their programming skills using J2e Code. They learnt how to write the code to make a square and a rectangle and then explored making more detailed patterns and writing letters from their name. Try out J2e code at home. 

We started our new English unit of work which is looking at persuasive texts. Mr Morris told us that playtime was going to be shortened to only 5 minutes and we had to persuade him not to do this.
