Bonfire Night!
This is just some of the fantastic artwork and poetry we produced on Monday as part of our bonfire night theme!
WW1
Year 3 enjoyed learning about WW1 and recalling interesting facts from the war. We also created poppy art to incorporate 100 years since the end of WW1. Whilst working we enjoyed listening to music that was around at the time.
PE - Military Warm Up
Our World War theme week started with a military warm up in PE. Children enjoyed standing to attention, marching, star jumps, sit ups and lots more. They realise it would be hard to do this for an hour, which was expected of soldiers!
Heartsmart
Today Year 3 enjoyed their Heartsmart session, discussing encouragement. They particularly enjoyed writing post it note comments about others and using encouraging language, they then had to stick the post it note to the child! The children liked wearing encouragement!
Autumn 2 - Week 2
We have been busy learning lots about Bonfire Night and the children loved our story "Hovis the Hedgehog".

Year 1 had a wonderful day on Monday learning about Guy Fawkes and the gunpowder plot. They wrote their own wanted posters to help catch Guy Fawkes and made some very arty firework pictures.

Our new theme is Fighting Fit. We talked about how humans grow and how we have changed since we were a baby. We then started a comparative test to see if older children had bigger feet. We went round different classes to measure the feet of different children and then measured them in cm. In our…
English - Instructions
Our English lesson on Halloween was to listen to and follow instructions to draw a bat and a pumpkin. It was great fun. We will now be learning the features of instructions and learning to write our own instructions.
Online Safety
This week we have been talking about how to keep safe online. We completed a questionnaire where we had to answer how we go online, what we watch and share and what we play and see.
