Maths

We continue to enjoy our PE lessons and are learning to play lots of new games.

English - Fables
Today children worked together to orally retell a fable, they were encouraged to read aloud and use their voices to make it interesting.
Writing a Diary Entry
Year 3 enjoyed listening to sounds of D-Day and pretending to be there. They have written something great diary entries!
Number Families
This week the children have been using their understanding of multiplication and division to find number families. We have learned that we can create number families by using the inverse of either calculation.
World War 2 Week
This week the children have been submerged into the learning of WW2. We focused as a class on the Blitz, what happened and why. We have completed many activities about it and enjoyed learning in lots of new ways.
Evacuation
We have been learning all about evacuation this week in year 1. So far we have learnt about the importance of poppies and written about what we would take in our suitcases if we were evacuated. We have also carried out research and found out some facts about WW2, made our own gas masks and…
