This week, Year 6 have been looking at maps of Skelmersdale which date back to the mid 1850s!
They’ve been identifying how the area has changed into the town that we have today!

Grouping Living Things
In Science, Year 4 have been learning about how to group living things based on their physical appearance. We've learnt about vertebrates and invertebrates and had a go at grouping animals based on this. They've worked really hard!
3D Design in Year 3
Year 3 began their 3D Design unit in I Learn 2. They experimented with copying and creating the different patterns to understand 3D. They can't wait to create their own designs to 3D print.
Science and Spanish in Year 6
Year 6 have had a great first full week back! They have been creating classification trees in Science and getting really stuck in with Spanish! #enjoy #embrace
Investigating Stone Age artefacts
An introduction to the Stone Age, in Year 3, as children explored different artefacts and photographs of artefacts. The children had to think about what they were made out of and what they were used for as they started to think as they became archaeologists to find out about Stone Age life.
Bucket Filler - The Hangout
The Hangout are happy to be back in school after the summer holiday. This week we have enjoyed reading ‘Have you filled a bucket today?.’ Children in The Hangout are very good at being bucket fillers to each other and others around school.
Y5 are flying with spelling
