A great start to Aspirations week with 2 visitors coming in to tell us about their jobs.

We enjoyed a visit from Sparta Martial Art in Skelmersdale and they taught us a range of different moves.

We then found out all about what an Optometrist does, with Joe from Suzanne Dennis…

Our Diddy Delph Siders have been learning facial features. They used a mirror to look at their own noses, ears and eyes and could point to each of the features. Carefully, then then placed their facial features onto their face. Great Job!

This week our Pre-Schoolers have taken a keen interest in all things mathematical. They have been forming some numbers, measuring units of water and have been counting to 10.

Year 6 had a brilliant time at the International Slavery Museum! It’s a tough topic, but they really #embraced the history! #enjoy #evolve

We went on a Bear Hunt with a twist! We didn't have an ordinary walk, we went on a sensory walk...Uh oh, we had to go THROUGH IT!!! 

Year 2 Computing - How to find information online!

This week in computing the children took a step back from 3D slash and started 'how to find information for 1 week'. The children loved this and had to fill out questions which they could find online. #Enjoy #Evolve…

This week the children have continued to learn all about sea pollution. They created their own fish in the creative area showcasing what would be in their stomach if they swallowed the wrong things and also wrote all about what they could see in the sea that doesn't belong there.

This week in Jigsaw, Year 4 have been learning about where we get our physical features from. We discussed how we get our DNA from our biological parents (which is where our looks come from), however, our personalities can be shaped from the people around us and our life experiences.

This week our Diddy Delph Siders have experienced different types of sensory play. They have #embraced touching the different textures and talking about how they feel.

Pre-School have had a lovely week #embracing the indoor and outdoor provision. They have created treasure maps, have practised balancing and have taken a keen interest in playing with the musical instruments.

Year 1 had a great Math's lesson, learning how to partition larger numbers in to 10's and 1's. It was incredible to see how quickly they grasped it and applied this knowledge in to their practical activity.

What a fantastic day Y5 have had 'in the Amazon' on their Amazon simulation experience. We gathered water from our local well, made a filter using stones, led our tribe across the river and even fought our case in court against the sinister logging corporation. #enjoy #embrace #evolve…
