A Message from Year 1
As this weekend is Bonfire Night, in Year 1 we have been talking about how to be safe around fireworks and bonfires to keep ourselves and our families safe. We made rockets this afternoon and discussed why we celebrate Bonfire Night on the 5th of November.

This week year 2 have been learning about the Great Fire of London.
We have made our own houses and set them on fire to show how fast the fire spread through London in 1666.
We were singing 'London is burning' as the fire happened.

Reception - Art - Patterned Pumpkins
Reception #enjoyed adding patterns to their pumpkins, in the style of the artist Yayoi Kusama. We worked on our cutting skills and added patterns using different sized dots.
Year 3 - Stone Age Houses
Year 3 are loving learning about the Stone Age and today they were fascinated to view 3D models of a Palaeolithic and Mesolithic camp. It really helped to understand what homes were like in these periods.
Year 5 Experience Day
Year 5 got stuck into their next English topic - The Highwayman!
We read the poem and discussed rhyming patterns and some unfamiliar language. Next, we begin writing a prequel to the Highwayman's story.
