Year 4 have been working hard learning how to read and write decimals. We used place value counters and charts to show numbers in tens, ones, tenths and hundredths! 
 

This week, Year 3 have been using different materials to create the patterns and shapes they observed in Greek Pottery. We used cardboard, black card and art straws to create and patterns and shapes, gathering an understand of what we can create with them.

Pre School have been learning about shapes. They had to find a superhero shape and match it to the correct shape in the garden. They tried really hard to talk about how many sides and corners their shape had. We also took part in some Super Sonic Yoga! Fantastic work Pre School! #enjoy #evolve

Reception have been looking after their mental health today by taking part in Yoga. Their self esteem has been boosted, anxieties have been managed and they have become stronger both in body and mind.

Today the children embraced learning about the human life cycle. We looked closely at my life and what I was like in the past, what I am like in the present and what I may be like in the future!

Year 3 really enjoyed their yoga and mindfulness session today. It was great fun learning some different methods and thinking of what we can do to help ourselves relax. Some of us were nearly asleep after 5 minutes of relaxation!!

This week, Year 3 have been exploring the geometric shapes found in Ancient Greek vases. We looked at the different types of line used to show the shapes and patterns. Following this, we had a go at creating our own patterns and shapes using fine liners, pencil and graphite. 
 

This afternoon the children enjoyed searching the woodland area for words to read using their phonic skills. We are working very hard on our RWI sounds, focusing on spotting the ‘special friends’ and ‘chatty friends’ in words.
